The term “red tape” originated with this country’s handling of Veteran’s benefits. In the Civil War, many soldiers could not get the medical attention or other help they needed from the government after fighting in the Union Army. Their petitions for help were tied with red tape by government administrators. Fast forward to the present and soldiers are still facing the same difficulties.

This website, maintained by the law firm of Pahl and Associates is meant as a reference point for Veterans seeking help with VA Benefits, Disability Benefits, Service Connected Pensions, Character of Service Determinations, Discharge Upgrades, PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma and Traumatic Brain Injury.
